Dear Patriots, as this campaign continues to grow I wanted to share some of the amazing things I have discovered along the way. Like most of you I have never held an office and viewed politics through the eyes of what I saw on television, heard on the radio or read in the paper. I always viewed our political battles in the prism of Democrat vs. Republican and thought if we could just elect enough Republicans then we could restore our freedoms in this country. Well like many of you over the last few years I’ve come to find that some of the Republicans we have elected disregard the Constitution as much as the Democrats do! This abuse of power and reckless abandonment of our founding documents is what lead me to run for office in an attempt to fight for the freedoms the Constitution guaranteed each one of us. When I first started this journey the most difficult task was standing up in front of people and opening your heart to each person in the room, talking about my love of our country and the freedoms it provides.
This was made even more challenging by the amount of people who told me to quit! That is right, you did not misread that, time after time meeting after meeting someone would pull me aside and tell me I was wasting my time. I did not have a chance to win this election so I should give up. Good thing the Marine in me doesn’t know how to quit, my undying love for our nation and my belief that we the people can stand together and win our country back kept me going each and every day. I would get off of work drive to another meeting and talk to whoever would listen. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months and now we are coming up on one year. As support for our journey has grown the opposition has become more in your face. I had one person tell me that I had not earned my right to run for this office and that I needed to run for a lower office first. Another told me that I have not raised enough money so I should quit because in their mind you must have to buy elections.
Then just a few weeks ago someone actually sent me an email and said this “You will lose don’t waste your time!! It’s the truth you know it I know it” I guess in the America for this person you should never try something if you might fail! Can you image what our country would be like if good men and women never stood up and fought against the odds for change? So that is it, that is what we are fighting against and I can promise you here and now as long there is air in my lung I will stand up and use my freedom of speech to talk about our Constitution and We the People. I will never allow people to scare or intimidate me against running for this office, our current Congressman has voted against the Constitution and must be replaced. This is our country and our eyes are open to the truth now. Thank you for all of your support and let’s keep working these last two months and take a step to win our country back. Together We the People can do anthing.
